Donations
Each contribution to the Benicia
Community Action Council make a wide range of support
services possible to the less fortunate members of our
community.
Administrative costs are kept to a bare minimum through the
generosity of caring Benicians who share the Benicia CAC's
commitment. This means that your tax deductible
contribution can be used as an investment in people and their
hope for a brighter, productive future. The Benicia Community Action Council is a non-profit
501C3 organization. Donations to the BCAC are tax deductible to
the extent legally possible. Receipts are given for donations
received.
Financial:
Financial donations are greatly appreciated and can be ear
marked for certain activities and programs, such as summer camp
for low income kids, Meals on Wheels, Senior Meals, Thanksgiving
and Christmas, or general operating expenses.
Household Goods:
Household goods in useable condition are accepted at the office
during office hours. Arrangements for pick up can be made by
calling the office.
NO household goods or unusable items are to be left during the
weekends. It costs us precious financial resources to carry
discards to the dump.
Clothing:
Useable clean clothing is always needed. Children are always
outgrowing their clothing. All sizes are needed.
Holiday:
Benicia Cares for Kids: barrels are located at various sites
throughout the community. Toys may also be left off at the CAC
office.
Finances:
Financial donations may be dropped off at the office or mailed
to 480 Military East.
Food:
Food donations may be dropped off at the CAC office. Please
provide food in pop-top cans and juice in boxes. Everything must
have a label on it. No glass jars, please.
Families:
Families may be adopted for either Thanksgiving or Christmas or
both. Families are screened before they are adopted out.
Raley's Food For Families:
One hundred percent of the money donated in Benicia to the Food
for Families Program is used by the Benicia CAC to purchase food
which we otherwise wouldn't have to give to hungry people. |
