The Benicia Community Action Council is a 501(c)3 non-profit
organization founded in 1967 to provide services to the
economically disadvantaged in Benicia. Through dedicated
volunteers and an experienced professional staff, a broad range
of services are offered.
The mission of the Benicia CAC is to provide guidance,
resources and referrals to those striving for self-
sufficiency.
Whether delivering hot nutritious meals to home-bound seniors
or helping low income youth take advantage of on-the-job
training, the BCAC stands ready to meet the needs of the
community.
Who supports the Benicia CAC?
The Benicia Community Action Council receives funding and
support from the City of Benicia and donations from private
individuals, foundations, and corporations.
the staff operates on a very limited budget, but strong
public support has helped the agency keep pace with the
ever-spiraling costs so that it can concentrate on using its
resources where they are most needed.
What services does the Benicia CAC provide?
The Benicia Community Action Council goal is to help solve
problems and foster self-sufficiency. Limited emergency
aid is available. The Benicia CAC functions as a resource
and referral agency. Benicia CAC answers questions about
government assistance, health care and medical benefits, and
employment opportunities. The Benicia CAC staff is eager
to help clients achieve a full and independent life.
